STEP 01 Consultation on paints for new colors and models

We participated as a paint and painting partner for designer and user representatives from the planning stage of producing new products or adding new colors.

STEP 02 Interviews with user representatives

In addition to the color and texture you want to realize, we will ask you about the material, production system, delivery time, and cost of the painted object (workpiece).

STEP 03 Paint prototype

In close collaboration with paint manufacturers, we prototype paint that meets user needs. We realize your ideal colors.

STEP 04 Line try

Line trys are done to see if new paint can be painted on the customer’s painting lines. Depending on the shape of the workpiece and the painting process, there will be differences in the formation of the paint film. We set the optimal painting conditions for the workpiece shape and provide feedback to the customer.

STEP 05 Color approval

Test painting is performed in the same process as an actual paint and actual workpieces, and the paint is completed after approval by designer and user representatives.

STEP 06 On-site painting supervision and finishing follow-up

The paint is a "semi-finished product" completed only after properly producing the color on the workpiece. Uchigen continues to serve as a color engineer on the customer's work site after the paint is delivered and provides technical advice until the paint is on track as designed.

STEP 07 Start of mass production and paint delivery

After mass production starts, we deliver paint flexibly according to the customer’s production plan. At Uchigen we produce major paints in our own factories, so we can respond to sudden production plan fluctuations in a timely manner.

STEP 08 Preventing defects through regular visits

Even after the start of mass production, we regularly visit customers and conduct detailed after-sales follow-up such as checking the paint quality and paint conditions of the product. We help you maintain stable production by adjusting painting conditions that vary slightly with changes to the painting environment caused by the changing seasons.
