Founded in 1933. Uchigen has grown together with some of Japan's leading manufacturers by utilizing its expertise as a color engineering trading company. We have unique strengths developed on manufacturing sites, such as "product proposal capability," "product procurement and supply capabilities," "technical capability with thorough knowledge of manufacturing sites," and a "global network." At present, we combine these strengths freely to meet customer challenges and needs, and build total solutions that solve those problems in one stop. As a global solution provider, we are expanding our business into a wide range of fields to support our globally active Japanese customers. Uchigen has dealt with manufacturing issues faced by customers in various industries, including major automobile and motorcycle manufacturers and musical instrument manufacturers, from both the sales and engineering sides. We maintain that stance to this very day, with a wide range of businesses, from paint and painting solutions for manufacturers to painting equipment, to painting work, e-commerce, and robotics. We carefully select products from an engineer's perspective and deliver them with technically backed support. We offer outstanding service that directly addresses customer issues, and we are committed to adding value that goes above and beyond the business domain of a general trading company.

Product Procurement and Supply Capabilities
Using our strong supplier network, we supply all products in a timely manner
We have built a strong relationship of trust with hundreds of suppliers for over 90 years. Against this backdrop, we have built our own network that allows us to quickly procure the products needed in the manufacturing sites. In recent years, we have expanded into e-commerce business via the Internet, and have succeeded in developing new sales channels by quickly delivering carefully selected products to customers throughout Japan, including individual customers. Furthermore, in the industrial paint field, we have established two "Color Centers" in Shizuoka and Kanto that handle contract production for the Nippon Paint Group. We have a flexible supply system that can respond to customer production plans just in time.

Uchigen has been working with leading Japanese manufacturing customers, including automobiles, motorcycles, and musical instruments. Since those early days, our company has considered its "business" to be ensuring that the products we deliver function properly on customer work sites. The "technical capability with thorough knowledge of the manufacturing site" that was accumulated throughout this history eventually became the backbone of our painting devices and equipment, painting work business, and robotics business, resulting in a one-stop service common to all of those businesses. We create unique value, from product proposals to equipment installation, construction and after-sales service.

Global Network
Full delivery of manufacturing solutions established in Japan to customer’s overseas manufacturing sites
In line with overseas expansion by Japanese manufacturers, we established local subsidiaries in Indonesia and Mexico. We offer a combination of materials and equipment know-how, including painting technology cultivated in Japan. We deliver core products such as materials and equipment that are only available in Japan to work sites on behalf of our customers. We also independently develop a local supply network, thereby increasing options for customers. Our local procurement capability is returned to our customers, as we pursue the best balance of quality, cost, and delivery. To be a company that can continue to provide high added value to customers amidst drastically changing international circumstances. Uchigen will keep striving to further strengthen its network as a "global solution provider."
