Business Continuity Plan
Uchigen's Initiatives
Uchigen aims to protect the safety of employees and their families from unexpected external factors such as natural disasters and infectious diseases. Uchigen is also working to ensure business continuity and strengthen its organization in order to minimize the impact on our customers' businesses.
BCP Basic Policy
In order to ensure business continuity in the event of an unexpected disaster, we will strengthen the safety and trust of our customers and protect the survival of the company and the safety and security of our employees and their families by formulating risk management and disaster response. In addition, we aim to supply materials to our business partners as soon as possible.
- For each department, we identify all risks such as fires, earthquakes, tsunamis, storms and floods, infectious diseases, and information security, and plan the target risks that need to be addressed according to the degree of risk. We plan and build an internal response system for risks.
- In anticipation of preparations for complex disasters, we are planning as an "all-hazard BCP."
- In order to minimize the impact on the business of our business partners, we are promoting a recovery plan that aims to supply 70% of materials in 10 days.
- The BCP Committee meets regularly to check the system, update information, and provide education and training as appropriate.
Safety Drills
Evacuation drills are regularly conducted at each sales office, warehouse, and factory. Especially in warehouses where hazardous materials are handled, special training is provided to ensure appropriate handling of hazardous materials.
What is BCP/BCM?
BCP is an acronym for Business Continuity Plan, which describes the policies, systems, and procedures to ensure that a critical business is not disrupted or that a disruption is restored in the shortest possible time in the event of a sudden crisis event, such as a natural disaster or accident. In addition, management activities carried out during normal times to ensure business continuity, including the formulation of BCP, are called BCM.
